It goes without saying that there are some books that appear on any self-respecting person’s list that enjoy self-development. This is one of them.

I feel like writing a review may be preaching to the converted but there are still some out there that haven’t picked up this book yet.

Written originally in the 1930’s and the sum of over 20 years’ work for Mr Hill, the book claims to be responsible for making more millionaires than any other book.

In 1908, Napoleon Hill was sent by his magazine to interview the wealthiest man in America at the time, Andrew Carnegie. What was supposed to be a quick interview resulted in a study of the world’s richest and most powerful men at the time.

Carnegie, opened his contacts to Napoleon Hill and he spent years interviewing people like Henry Ford, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Edison and John D. Rockefeller.

What he generated from his work is a 13-step process encompassing the money-making secrets of the rich and famous.

The book touches on mindset, thoughts and self-belief as well as habits and rituals many of these great business minds had in common.

Personally, I found the book quite a difficult read, but that didn’t take away from the quality of the writing or the content. The book uses language from the early 1900’s and for that reason I found it a little tough going. It’s like you have to transport yourself back into a long-ago era to get into the swing of it, but the lessons contained within the pages are life changing.

I would say that Think and Grow Rich is a must-read book and we are pleased to include it for all our Book Club members this month – Enjoy
